Time zone: Asia/Kolkata. A ritual time is not established.

The reported opening of the Simhastha planning window in Ujjain.

## Understand this occasion

The opening date is the beginning of the overall reported mela period. It should not be treated as a confirmed time for every religious activity, the start of every camp, or a guarantee that a particular ghat is open.

This calendar is an aid to discussing plans, not a government programme, a promise of public access or a booking confirmation. Recheck official notices before non-refundable arrangements.

## Plan your visit around it

If you hope to arrive around the opening, confirm your accommodation’s actual check-in and operating dates. Temporary facilities may follow their own setup schedule. Ask your host to explain the approach route and where your vehicle can stop.

## What still needs checking

Look for an official opening programme, operational dates for visitor services, and the entry arrangements in effect on your arrival day.

## Leave room for a different pace

If the opening programme is not your main purpose, compare other dates once the final calendar is available. A flexible first visit can allow more time to settle into the city.
