The next Ujjain Simhastha is expected in 2028. Precise festival and Shahi Snan dates circulating on travel websites have not been independently verified here against a final government notification. Use our date guide to check the source status before making fixed bookings.
Is Simhastha the same as the Prayagraj Mahakumbh?
Both belong to the Kumbh tradition, but they are different gatherings in different cities. Ujjain’s Simhastha is associated with the Shipra River in Madhya Pradesh. Prayagraj’s gathering takes place at the Triveni Sangam in Uttar Pradesh.
What is the best way to reach Ujjain?
Ujjain Junction (UJN) is the main rail gateway. For flights, Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore is the nearest airport listed by the district administration. Arrange the onward journey separately and recheck mela traffic restrictions closer to travel.
Can I book darshan or accommodation on this website?
We currently publish independent planning guides, not booking services. Our guides point you to official sources and explain what to confirm with accommodation providers. Future paid business placements will be clearly labelled.
