Understand this occasion
The third Shahi Snan is a separate proposed milestone from the overall reported closing date. Do not assume that every activity ends with this bath, or that all services remain available until the last day of the festival window.
Our calendar is an aid to discussing your plans. It is not a government programme, a promise of public access or a booking confirmation. Avoid making non-refundable arrangements until the detail you rely on has an authoritative source.
Plan your visit around it
Confirm your room, onward transport and the permitted public approach again before travelling. If your group plans to leave after bathing, allow enough time to return, collect luggage and reach the actual departure point.
Keep written confirmations for your accommodation and transfer. Tell providers what your group needs, and ask how temporary restrictions would affect your arrival and departure. You can use our first-time guide to turn those answers into a practical plan.
What still needs checking
Verify the final ritual programme, public access arrangements and service operating dates. Check any announcements that supersede earlier plans.
- Final date and the original notification that establishes it.
- Reporting times, designated locations and public access rules.
- Transport, parking and any route restrictions on the day.
- What your group will do if a planned activity is no longer manageable.
Leave room for a different pace
Avoid treating a later bathing date as automatically easier for children or older travellers. Choose based on current conditions and your group’s needs, not its position in the calendar.
A place in the calendar does not tell you how a day will feel on the ground. Take account of the needs of children, older relatives and anyone who needs a shorter outing.
